As our tamariki grow, so does their curiosity, confidence and capacity to lead their own learning journey. At Omokoroa Preschool, our 4-year-old room is a vibrant, purpose-built environment designed to support and challenge our older learners as they prepare for the transition to school.

We offer age-specific learning that nurtures independence, critical thinking, collaboration and emotional resilience. Our experienced kaiako design a play-based curriculum that inspires exploration, problem-solving and creative expression, while gently introducing routines and concepts aligned with early literacy and numeracy.

Outside, our dedicated bike track provides a dynamic space for physical development, risk-taking and fun. Alongside our flourishing gardens and natural spaces, tamariki are free to test their physical boundaries, build coordination, and enjoy the freedom of movement that fuels healthy growth.

At the heart of everything we do is a belief in strong, reciprocal relationships – between tamariki, whānau and kaiako. With rich teacher-to-child ratios, our team is able to engage in meaningful learning moments, offering guidance while respecting each child’s unique rhythm and interests.

Our 4-year-old room fosters a sense of belonging and confidence, helping tamariki develop the social and self-management skills that lay strong foundations for a lifelong love of learning.
